Sorare European Nights Are Back for the 2027 Season: What Actually Changed

It's Sorare's in-game event built around the UEFA club calendar. The Champion boards track the Champions League. The Contender boards track what Sorare calls "the EL and CL competitions combined" (last year's slot covered the Europa League and Conference League, per Sorare's August 29, 2025 post). Sorare says both are powered by Opta.

"Back" is doing heavy lifting in that headline. Sorare ran a post called European Nights Are Back in 2025 too. Two near-identical titles in two years is either a tradition or a content calendar.

You clear a level by hitting its point target, not by beating other managers. Sorare's help center files that under Pro mode, one of three in Sorare 27 next to Arcade and Arena (updated Aug 14, 2026). Per Sorare's September 3 post, the Champion boards run September 8 to November 6, 2026, and the Contender boards run September 16 to November 6 (EGamers agrees, September 4).

Each board has six levels, four lives per level and no step clock, per the same post, and entry stays open until your first player kicks off. On the Champion Limited and Rare board the targets run from 350 points at level one to 500 at level six. Rewards are shown in USD equivalent "for reference" and paid "in ETH, SOL, or cash", and restrictions may apply depending on your jurisdiction.
Sorare calls this a "first phase" and says the next one "will be shared ahead of time". As of September 19, 2026, no phase-two details are published in the sources we checked.

Here's the part the reward graphics skip. Sorare's help center says the game "can be played for free and does not require any crypto knowledge to start playing" (updated June 23, 2026). It also says Pro cards, Limited through Unique, "must be purchased on the Marketplace or crafted from essence" and are "the only cards that can be used to win cash prizes" (updated Feb 26, 2026).

Free to start, paid to chase the cash: Limited and Rare are both Pro cards. We have no sourced marketplace price for either and we're not inventing one. Supply is sourced: 1,000 Limited, 100 Rare, 10 Super Rare and 1 Unique per player per season (Sorare help center, updated Feb 26, 2026). Sorare said on Oct 8, 2025 it was moving cards to Solana and ETH balances to Base (help center), and Wikipedia (edited Sept 9, 2026) says the move is done. Legally it's unsettled: BlockchainGamerBiz reported (updated June 16, 2026) that Sorare's UK Gambling Commission trial was postponed to June 7, 2027, and that Sorare "firmly" denies being a gambling product under UK law.

So: would you rather beat a number or beat other managers? Our read: beating a number is kinder to a thin collection, because a bigger squad can't push you off a fixed target. It's also less forgiving: a missed target burns a life. With phase two unpublished, anyone building for after November 6 is buying into Sorare European Nights rules nobody has seen yet. Verdict: friendlier than last year's leaderboards, but the cash still sits behind Pro cards. Read the rules twice before you ape in.
