Gods Unchained Battle Pass Season 18 vs 17: Changes
4 min read
Gods Unchained Battle Pass Season 18 adds a Conquest Ticket to the Whale track, alongside spooky cosmetics. The developer calls it the first Conquest Ticket in a Battle Pass. Whether that makes Whale better value is still an open question.
Quick answer: The named treatment cards change from Illuminate and Call to Arms to Stygian Collector and Bedeviled Shadow. Whale's ticket comes with an eligibility question: Conquest requires Rank 10 or higher.
The Season 18 announcement lists September 11 to October 9; the official news index dates the announcement September 2, 2026. That puts the announced window at September 11 to October 9, 2026, with no exact ending time given. Availability hasn't been checked in the game client.
Season 18 vs Season 17: the named changes
Our August Gods Unchained roundup covered the previous pass. The Season 17 announcement named Illuminate and Call to Arms for its Shadow and Diamond treatments. Season 18 instead names Stygian Collector and Bedeviled Shadow, again in Shadow and Diamond.
Shadow and Diamond are card treatments. Different cards getting those versions isn't evidence of a balance change or new mechanics.
The Season 18 art goes full spooky. Death gets an undead portrait with cracked skin and purple light. A crescent moon, gold filigree and stars decorate the card back; zombie and witch-cat emotes join a violet-fire Mana Wheel. The Season 17 text reviewed here doesn't describe its cosmetics in enough detail for a direct visual comparison.
One naming wrinkle: the older announcement calls its lower paid track Collector; Season 18 calls it Fancy. Different wording alone doesn't prove a formal track redesign.
Whale's ticket comes with an eligibility question
The official Conquest rules describe a paid-entry mode for Rank 10 and above, with five-game runs. Five games, not five wins required to complete a run. Buying Whale isn't evidence of an exemption from that rank requirement.
Conquest itself predates this pass: its rules page says it launched July 16, 2026. The new connection is the pass reward. The Season 18 announcement doesn't spell out the ticket's redemption conditions, so assigning it a token value or promising a particular payout would be guesswork.
If you're still deciding whether the underlying game suits you, our Gods Unchained review is the broader starting point.
The missing numbers matter before buying
The Season 18 announcement text reviewed on October 5, 2026 doesn't list track prices, XP requirements, level thresholds or exact reward counts. Season 17's figures can't fill those gaps.
Our earlier Gods Unchained pack-price coverage is separate context, not a current valuation of this pass. Packs and cosmetics appearing in a reward list don't establish that a purchase pays for itself.
For anyone considering entry near the announced October 9 endpoint, a completion estimate needs current progression and claim terms. Without those, "you can finish in time" is sales talk with the maths missing.
